Coleslaw by Grandpa Stepanek
Chang’s Cole Slaw Dressing
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon sesame or extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 piece minced garlic
1/2 scallion (if no onion in cole slaw)
Green olives with pimentos – finely chopped
Slice one head of cabbage very finely and soak in room temperature water for about one hour with sea salt of kosher salt.
Squeeze out all water with cheese cloth and DO NOT rinse.
Combine with finely chopped onions and/or finely shredded carrots.
Use Hidden Valley Cole Slaw Dressing or Chang’s (see below)
